Mathew Giliberto
Mathew Giliberto started martial arts at 6 years old in his hometown, Chicago, Illinois. Wanting to expand his knowledge of martial arts, he started his journey in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in 2016.
He moved to Charlotte, NC and later Fort Mill, SC, with his wife Jana, in 2023 to train and learn from Professor Lepri and Professor Silva.
Mathew has won multiple IBJJF competitions, including American Nationals Gi and NoGi, where he was a double gold medalist and a vice champion on NoGi Worlds, NoGiPan Ams, and Master Worlds.
In addition to his passion to jiu jitsu, he is classically trained in piano and guitar and in his free time enjoys practicing, writing, and recording music with his wife.
Coach Matthew is currently an assistant instructor for the adult and kids program.
